The October 8th community event Think. Talk. Take Action at the Rialto was a grand success! The Hi-Tech Team would like to thank all who participated and supported the event, including the non-profits who were involved, Every Voice in Action Foundation, community leaders, ACCESS Tucson, youth performers and volunteers, and all of the community who came and showed their support!

Now it is time to take action! The Hi-Tech Team is currently in the process of renovation and review. There are many opportunities and directions the Hi-Tech Team plans to pursue.

During the Think. Talk. Take Action event, Pima County Board of Supervisors Chairman Richard Elis extended his hand and offered a meeting to discuss further issues and action steps with the Hi-Tech Team. Plans are in the works to take him up on this offer.

The Hi-Tech Team is also planning a meeting with Chief of Staff for Ward Three, Miguel Ortega, to discuss plans for City Council Member Karen Uhlich’s $13,000 pool for youth action projects, to institute change from a youth perspective in Ward 3.

Every Voice in Action Foundation wants to welcome its newest staff member Michael Lovelace, an AmeriCorps Member who will be working alongside the Hi-Tech Team.

Finally, there will be a call for new recruits soon to join the Hi-Tech Team!
