ACT for Youth ( www.actforyouth.net ): New York based center designed to promote positive youth development. Contains links to state and national youth data as well as youth development websites, a searchable library, newsletters, reports and action planning guides.

DataCenter ( www.datacenter.org ): DataCenter provides social justice advocates access to strategic information, analysis, and research skills that will help them conduct more effective campaigns.

The Forum for Youth Investment ( www.forumforyouthinvestment.org ): Provides services and support in youth action programs.

The Freechild Project ( www.freechild.org ): A resource, training and consultation program to advocate, inform and celebrate youth led social change.

Funder’s Collaborative on Youth Organizing ( www.fcyo.org ): A collective of national, regional and local foundations and youth organizing practitioners dedicated to advancing youth organizing as a strategy for youth development and social change.

Idealist.org ( http://www.idealist.org/kt/youthorgs.html ): this website gives a long list of organizations that were started and are run by young people. In addition, there is information to help youth find resources to get started on their own organization or project.

The Innovation Center for Community and Youth Development ( www.theinnovationcenter.org ): An organization dedicated to unleashing the potential of youth, adults, organizations and communities to create a better society. Contains many toolkits, training materials, research, articles and mailing lists focused on Youth Activism & Youth Development.

Mobilizing America's Youth (MAY) ( www.mobilize.org ): is an all-partisan network dedicated to educating, empowering, and energizing young people to increase our civic engagement and political participation. They work to show young people how their lives are impacted by public policy and in turn, how they can impact public policy. The website includes lots of information about mobilizing, including how-to guides, speakers bureau information, and other resources.

Movement Strategy Center ( www.movementstrategy.org ): Movement Strategy Center (MSC) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, that is committed to advancing the next generation of leaders for a sustainable progressive movement. MSC helps activists to develop the skills, culture, analysis and vision to work together in broad, cohesive alliances.

TakingItGlobal’s Resources ( http://www.takingitglobal.org/resources/ ): Databases of organizations, events, financial opportunities, professional opportunities, toolkits and publications pertaining to youth.

What Kids Can Do ( www.whatkidscando.org ): A non-profit organization dedicated to making the voices and views of adolescents public. Great sources of current reports, research and publications.

YouthActionNet ( www.youthactionnet.org ): A website & training program to encourage young people to take action and make a difference in their local and global communities. Includes toolkits to take action, raise money and communicate a cause.

Youth Activism Project ( www.youthactivism.com ): A nonprofit organization that promotes civic youth engagement, training for adults on how to collaborate with young people, and shares best practices and resources through a network of individuals concerned with youth development.

Youth Empowerment Center ( www.youthec.org ): Founded by young people, YEC represents the organic development of youth creating new organizations, institutions and intermediaries that meet the needs of their constituencies and communities. The YEC Support Center serves a broad range of youth projects with technical assistance, training and organizational development programs.

Youth in Focus ( www.youthinfocus.org ): Youth In Focus educates underrepresented youth and adult partners in youth-led action research, evaluation and planning (Y-REP) to create the conditions for social justice. The website contains detailed information about the program as well as resources, materials, and publications for youth and adults.

Youth Leadership Institute ( www.yli.org ): Builds communities where young people and their adult allies come together to create positive social change. YLI designs and implements community-based programs that provide youth with leadership skills in the areas of drug and alcohol abuse prevention, philanthropy, and civic engagement. Building on these real-world program experiences, YLI creates curricula and training programs that foster social change efforts across the nation, all while promoting best practices in the field of youth development.

Youth Service America ( www.ysa.org ): A resource center dedicated to increasing the quality and quantity of volunteer opportunities for young people to serve locally, nationally and globally. Includes listings of grant opportunities, curriculum guides, toolkits, and tip-sheets on developing and implementing service projects.

YouthVote Coalition ( www.youthvote.org): The Youth Vote Coalition is a national nonpartisan coalition of diverse organizations dedicated to engaging youth between the ages of 18-30 in the political process. The website contains facts and stories about young voters, current event articles, and information on current or pending legislation and candidates.
