Girls For A Change (GFC) is a national non-profit organization that empowers girls to create social change. Their mission is to catalyze professional women to support urban middle and high school girls to become social change makers and innovators. They aim to empower girls to design, lead, fund and implement social change projects that tackle problems they face in their neighborhoods. GFC is committed to giving all girls the opportunity to invent and experience the spark that comes with seeing their own ideas take form and make a difference. They provides the tools, resources and support girls need to move from being spectators to being leaders.
Girls For A Change is a great example of a youth activism program, and this is further shown through the program’s core values. GFC believes girls are a powerful and unique resources, and with opportunity and support they can create large-scale social change.
