Protection Connection is a social marketing program of Planned Parenthood of Southern Arizona (PPSAZthat positively impacts health outcomes for already sexually active youth by decreasing risks of unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections. The Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is a group of six youth staff members who drive this effort through teen-driven media, peer-to-peer facilitation, and offering a wider availability of condoms for sexually active youth. TAG oversees over 100 youth volunteers who assist in multiple campaigns and events throughout the year, including disbursing information at outreach events, facilitating workshops, designing and participating in rallies and other activism efforts, and holding concerts at which peer-to-peer sexual health education is conducted.
